Calydonian Boar : Sent as Punishment [HER]

One of the 4 3RP "Chargers": The Bull, Minotaur, Boar and Tityos.

The Boar is a strong monster for only 3RP, with 8 vitality and 8 defense reasonably solid compared to the other members of his charging "family". He brings 4 activation cards though (the bull only brings 3). Of the 4 I think he is the most straightforward, given his current dashboard.

7 9 0 1 7 Bull (3 activations)
7 8 0 1 8 Boar (4 activations)
8 9 0 0 9 Tityos (3 activations)

His first power is a 6 dice charge action like the other 3RP chargers have. His second (yet unnamed) power does a free area attack. Which makes him stand out more than most of his "family". I wonder if the skill is going to be 1 AoW card - and if it also effects friendly units.

I think it's pretty balanced that he attacks everything in his area at the end of his activation. Really makes it a wild beast and not a team player.

Of course 4 dice won't do much, especially if you have other units that would be able to reduce its damage anyways. And it's not like you'd try to maximise the damage done against your own troops.

Also I really love this sculpt. A boar is also very different from everything else in the game, he will always stand out.

I very much like this mini. Hope that I will be able to paint it properly.

The second power could be some sort of toxic breath ? (inspired by the green radioactive stuff coming out of the mouth of the artwork)
Not sure it will cost an AoW. It seems pretty expensive if it affects allies and enemies alike. However that is a way to control it rather than an uncontrollable attack.
Omphalos passing could be problematic if the 2nd power is automatic.

So a charger with 4 activations and the choice of either attacking once again (if all enemies are not thrown away) or grabbing an omphalos... I like it ! Add to that 8 defense, 8 Vitality and Block... a unit that I will probably pick if I can !

So am I correct in understanding that the Calydonian Boar gets to perform 3 different attacks all in one turn? Seems wonderfully devastating.

Looks like it. Charge --> Regular Attack --> Untitled Attack.

I won't bet on it that it won't change before dec 2017 though .. but these chargers are very strong. Especially the Boar with 4 activations and no additional AoW cost for his 2nd attack is a very nice one.

Confirmed: all the 4 charger's attacks will become a Special Attack.
Meaning the Boar can't do 3 attacks but 2.

Would still make him a viable choice with 4AC and a free area attack.
