Your Favorite Minis
hey..
while starting this topic, i realized, that its near impossible to add something like "one of each type", as there are soo many great sculpts. guess we go in good high-fidelity manner for top-5, cool? cool!

Re: Your Favorite Minis
inorite i'm struggling myself..
and when i almost had my list, new stuff popped up..
as it gets harde and harder to pick among the god figures, i start from the other end:
the amazons. these are awesome, and one of the deciding factors for me to pledge.. wish there were alternate sculpts of these
the colchis dragon. its somehow incredibly cute.. without missing a menacing aire. love it.
bellerophon. this was a hard decision between orpheus and bello, like the first for similar reasons as Cap, but i like well made pegaso too much to not pick bellerophon
hmm.. only two left.. and i fear it could start another troyan war to pick between the contenders .. athena, artemis, hecate, persephone and aphro..
its Athena, but barely. just like those greek helmets, spears and fluffy pets.. she has all three and a regal pose.
am i permitted to keep my final "vote" to wait for hippolyta and the gryphon?
from the teasers we seen, i think one of those could make it effortlessly into my top 5. else it would be another goddess i think.
Edit: just saw the hippolyta update... tho she is partialy cool, i had prefered a more classic approach. she wont make it near the top 5 sadly.. and they had such a great starting point with the amazons.

Re: Your Favorite Minis
Pan - wow! i think he's perfect.
Phoenix - amazing, no good reason, i just love it.
Cerberus - this is what he's supposed to look like and that spike!
Atlas - he looks angry and he's massive and he was the first.
who is number 5?
Marsyas - Orpheus - Icarus
Orpheus looks really cool and fits his story.
Marsyas is great too (is this a musical instrument thing?)
Icarus - i absolutely love how they got him airborne, perfect (same thing with Phoenix)
i guess i'd have to go with Marsyas because i need an instrument.

My favorites are Circe's alternative sculpt, Typhon, Ladon, Hecate and Persephone
I am also crazy for Aphrodite's alternate sculpt ^^

Re: Your Favorite Minis
I'm pretty dissapointed at troop minis, i understand being all the same makes production cheaper and easier, but man, i cant wait to try to convert them a little (First project, converting one of those lazy male villagers who cant help their family carryig the stuff)
But since last miniature game i was into was warhammer 5 and 6 ed, every single miniature looks awesome for me.
Anyway talking about favorites, mines are:
Female goddess (excluding maybe Artemis).
I love winged stuff, so icarus and pegasus are awesome for me. i want to see theirs backs tho... cause gorgon's back (at least i think it was gorgon) looked awfull.
Also, even if i think grphon's ¿peak?¿beak? (not sure which one is the word, i think u know what i meant) looks like a disney smile, i like it too.

Orpheus - looks freaking awesome
Prometheus - superb
Ladon - it has great details
Atlas - that angry / tired face :O

Thare are so many great ones. Ares, Prometheus, manticore. The smaller creatures are quite alike, very greek... Eurystus has a strong pose.

Re: Your Favorite Minis
Probably I am more one of those Monster-Guys. I just love 90% of the Monster sculpts! Thats why I will keep the Hera and Hephaistos Expansions for myself! Regarding my Top 5...
Definitely Greyon! He looks just badass and awesome!
The Phoenix is an obvious choice too!
Same goes for the Caucasian Eagle!
I'll further go for two non-monsters:
Chiron cause he is the Zentaur I like the most.
Last but not least: Prometheus! (He is a Monster though? Isnt he? )
Unfortunately I had to leave two other troops I look forward to out of this list: Calydonian Boar and Colchis Bull

Re: Your Favorite Minis
I think most look beautifull, but if I had to name some that stand out to me..
-Hera.
I really love how they portray her with the peacock theme. Her appearance is just so right. A powerfull and regal goddess, a true queen of the gods.
-Nemean lion.
Such a beautifull beast.
-Bellerophon.
A archetypical greek hero with a crested corinthian helmet on a pegasus, what's not to love?
-Persephone.
Maybe a little dark since it shows no hint of her spring side, but she looks very regal. A true goddess.
-Orpheus.
He looks very unique, not just with the harp but also his armor, haircut and face are all nice. Also carried a shield and sheathed sword so it does show he'd fight if need be.
