I like his abilities, that hundred heads ability will be devastating when you increase his range by climbing up.

Ladon is a tough 8/8 4RP monster unit with a surprising speed of 2 movement and 1 attack range. I see a lot of use for Ladon; he is a very good Guard with his free 5-dice attack retaliation (you can never melee attack him unpunished, a bit like a hedgehog) and Block talent.
His area attack can't be underestimated either, even though it's a steep 2 AoW card cost, it only targets enemy units - unlike many other unit's area attacks. And not only that, he attacks every adjacent area as well. The more, the merrier!

On the other hand, he can quickly (because 2 movement) slither to an enemy's area and do his thing there. He can even climb up hills - so it's very hard to hide for Ladon. You must have enough activations and AoW cards left to pull this off, though.

Must say the 100 heads theme is executed very well on this unit.

I must say that when the Hera expansion was announced, Ladon was my favorite unit.
Whether in a defense role, guarding your god, or as an attacker, preferably on a hill in the middle of your enemies army, attacking everyone for 2AoW or in the middle of the map, among Omphalos, in both an offensive and defensive stance, with block ability, Ladon seems to be a pain for your opponent Twisted Evil

I like the mini. I like how all the snakes/dragons ends up to be very different.

Forgot to add that the combination of guard talent and the many bites powers is a nasty combo.

Yup. A range 2 "attack every enemy unit" is very strong. You need a lot of AoW cards though. I think he will be stronger if he survives until the end of the game, when you have Omphalos cards and dead unit activation cards so AoW cards aren't so scarce.

That's why I wonder if a 0 range area attack counts as melee attack .... Cool

I just realized that the hundred head power is the same as the Hydra's Power except that it costs 2 AoW instead of 1.
The great combo is indeed attacking all enemies in range 2!

Yes, I can't imagine that in the final version they won't be the same cost (I bet 2AoW) as they're exactly the same.
I'd prefer Ladon, though; 2 movement and Many Bites .. just too good not to take.
