Re: Minotaur : Charging at Everything [BG]
One of the 4 3RP "Chargers": The Bull, Minotaur, Boar and Tityos.
The Minotaur is a potent monster for only 3RP, with 8 vitality and 7 defense bit less rather solid than the other members of his charging "family". He brings 4 activation cards though and is less AoW card needy.
His first power is a 6 dice charge action like the other 3RP chargers have. His second power let him re-roll 1 dice out of every 5, which is a good damage boost.
Note: Benoit confirmed today (6-dec-'16) that his charge power cost 1 AoW and the 2nd power is free.

Does make more sense yes, the second power seems like something no one would want to pay a precious art of war card for.
He's an alright beast but maybe a little underwhelming. I'm not sure what it is, maybe the sculpt just does not look that intimidating compared to many other creatures.
Usually I tend to envision the minotaur with a big axe or hammer, maybe a better weapon than that broken pickaxe could have been nice.

The Minotaur is one of the few sculpts I'd consider converting, just to give him a cooler weapon. I'm not entirely sure what that thing is supposed to be, presumably a broken pickaxe. The rest of the sculpt seems pretty fine to me, but I guess he'd be pretty easy to find an alternate sculpt for, since many model ranges have minotaur-looking creatures.
As for his Bloodthirst power, I'm not sure why it specifies once per group of 5 dice, since all his attacks will only have one group of 5 in them. I'm not sure that'll be his power in the final version, since the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] implies he'll have a Herakles-like terrain throw ability. From the description for the Calydonian Boar: "Where the Minotaur has the ability to throw scenery about as a ranged attack, the Boar is all about stomping on folk up close." Could be an error on QW's part, but I think it would be way more interesting than the current second power, and would help distinguish him more from the other chargers.

I'll be using the Massive Darkness Minotaur I think, looks like a pretty good sculpt -

Looks a bit cartoony for me. The one from Cyclades might match a bit better.
It has rather nice sculpts for the creatures and heroes, but they might be a little smaller.
The troops and boats are certainly smaller and of much lesser quality, but they make up the bulk of that game and to their credit, they do give each player color a different shape soldier and boat.
