Griffon : King of all Animals [BG]

This griffin art is amazin ths sculpt is nearly as good but it feels like the plant leg of the griffin is just a bit off compared to the art. Thats why i believe the art flows and the sculpt just has something not quite like the art.

I'm a big fan on the Griffin as mythological creature. But although the sculpt is very nice, I'm not really impressed by the Griffon stat-wise.

Compared to the Eagle (who is 1RP less):
7 7 0 3 8 (fly) Griffon (4 activations) - Initiative, Guard, Block
6 7 0 3 6 (fly) Eagle (4 activations) - Torment

One can't retaliate vs the eagle (passive ability). The griffin needs an AoW card to use its extra retaliate ability.
The eagle's torment makes him on par with the Griffins speed, attack and defense. The eagle can even re-roll dice vs terrestrial units, which would make him even stronger than the Griffon, offensively.

The griffon is a bit sturdier (+2 vitality) and can guard and block.
Not really things that I think would think they justify that +1 RP cost.

I really like the griffin. With most creatures being quite monstrous, it is nice to have something more gracefull too. He'd go well with a goddess like Aphrodite since ugly monsters just don't match her.

That's just speaking strictly about theme though and not abilities.
He seems solid enough for 3 points and has great chances to retaliate.
