Proxy terrain
Hello everybody!
Can I first make a recommendation, that I don't think there needs to be two terrain sub-forums.
And secondly I would like to start the ball rolling by making a couple of suggestions for terrain pieces -
You can find awesome looking greek/roman columns at wedding cake shops, I even found one the other day that had little cherubs on them -

https://cakeart.com/Cake-Stands-Pillars-Plates-Pillars-White-%26-Ivory/459/
And if you find you need more omphalos -
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014JUBGD6?psc=1

Feel free to add your own ideas

Re: Proxy terrain
Do u have any of those tokens? They look really symmetrical in the photos.
I was thinking about making omphalos' shards, since i dont think ill need more omphalos with the typhon pledge. Maybe it can work if i glue some of them together... What do u think?
My first idea was making them from some Milliput and paint them afterwards...

Hey, no I don't have any of those gems sorry! I'm sure you could find something similar in your local arts and craft store though.

Re: Proxy terrain
I wouldn't paint them, I think they would look pretty cool how they are. Just throwing ideas around

LMAO! Im certain if people would know, if they be unpainted, alot of omphalos would be "absorbed" by peoples themselves.
"Look hunny, I went playing with them miniatures again, and I gained for you some ... 'overexpensive glass'"... - "Oh you mean diamonds, hunny?" - "Well,... sure, whatever your heart likes!"

Although I found they sell them here in the Netherlands as well .. thanks for the wedding cake idea!!
http://www.deleukstetaartenshop.nl/producten/presentatie-verpakkingen/pilaren-plateaus/wilton-grecian-pillars-12-5cm-pk-4
Notice they sell them at 3 different heights: 7.5, 12.5 and 17.5cm.
The minis are about 35mm (Troops) to 60mm (Gods) to 110mm (Titans).

Re: Proxy terrain
Are the brushes plastic? I thought they looked like wire for a moment XD Silly me!
Thanks for sharing... these look great!

Re: Proxy terrain
That's awesome idea for trees, I like twisted wire more (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FNQTxX_jT4 / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcC5opK-VIU), but this is faster and easier.
EDIT: Also, I'm not sure how easy is this to sculpt in some non-straight shapes, but i think the idea is cool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42UZ8WpJO-M

Re: Proxy terrain
If you guys are interested in making your own props and what not, I would suggest looking into a product called polymorph. There are lots of variants of the product but you can shape anything you want and paint it if needed.

Re: Proxy terrain
I believe we need to fabricate our own eye instead of the "eye token" for the Graeae.
Though to do one that won't roll all over the board I guess
