King of Ithaca
Odysseus:
As should be well known by now, I dislike how weak Odysseus is in the game.
His role on the battlefield might be ok, but in my Opinion, that hero is a budget-choice who cannot stand toe to toe with any "real" hero or monster - and that is just not what I imagine Odysseus to be. He is useful, but... I felt his survivability was lacking.
After Quirkworthy said my first attempt does not appeal to him by trying to fill the same fole as before, (he would prefer the old 3P Odysseus& 1P Hoplits over my 4P version) I decided to start over.
So now, this is my new Vision of the King of Ithaca, after surviving the Odyssey:

My aim was to make him a real versatile hero that can fill almost any role on the battlefield. He will even be able to stand his ground when confronting a big monster for a round or two, now - probably not to kill it, but to be a nuisance that may get your enemy to concentrate on him, instead of more important targets.
Any thoughts are appreciated!

Re: King of Ithaca
Yes I am also for making a weir overpowered version of gods and titans... But harder to acquire... but I dont have a lot of actual ideas on how to do that

Actually yes, I asked if more campaigns like that were planned and they said "no".
And as the Veteran Achilles/Heracles resemble the heroes much more (at the time of their death - before MB:P starts) than their original versions, I thought it cool to do that for Odysseus, too.
In the future I would also like to do a campaign for him in a similar style, but first I have to know he "works" as intended, and I have to see how exactly the campaigns are designed so I know how that is supposed to work.

Yes.. as soon as we know how they created their scenario's. We have rough lines to create more ourselves !
Re: King of Ithaca
I appreciate the effort and I like the idea of him being versatile, but I think the cunning ability will quickly get confusing because you cant really keep track of what talent the unit gains or loses. It's better if it is something more specific.
Like it could either give or remove one specific listed talent. That way it won't be effective on everything either, but still on most.
Or alternatively it could be replaced with some specific talents not working against him. Some other units have that too, and it would aid in making Odysseus better in combat.
Regarding subterfudge,
I really like the ability to remove a tokens that way. The free unit activation seems too overpowered since that could be anything, even gods, titans and overpowered creatures while Leonidas his similar ability only counts for troops.
Raising one of his stats is also quite broad, others with a similar ability are limited to one or two options there, not all.

Re: King of Ithaca
Thanks for the comment.
Concerning the talents, I will think about it. Maybe I will change it to work as "The unit gains one use of any talent, remove the token after use" and "Remove the token from the unit to prevent it to use any one talent"... Still, keep in mind that I only gave Odysseus two talents, which is less than other heroes, to "pay" for that ability.
Concerning Subterfuge, the activation is powerful, granted. Still there seem to be a lot of activations "given for free" in the game. But maybe I could make it work like "leader", only not limited to troops, or something. Will think about it once more.
Concerning the stat-raise - well, his thats still are mediocre, and I don't think raising any one of them will make him win the game alone - Yes he could have a toughness of 8 for one round, but so does Heracles (for example, Achilles even 9) without using any power.

Re: King of Ithaca
Maybe he could only allow heroes to activate for free? That could still be very usefull, and it fits since he seems to be on good terms with many heroes.
