For just 1RP he is nice to hurt your opponent's heroes (if he has any). Even though he can climb and hit and run he's not that survivable. He may shine when protected by a friendly unit with Guard so he can actually do a few 8 dice attacks. Although his +3 ability costs 1 AoW card, which would also be used for activating a 2nd unit or stronger power, if available.
Not bad for a 1RP unit.

The art of war card cost keep it balanced for his cost of one card I think.
His less appearant use seems to be taking care of all kinds of utility heroes that are hard to kill due to their talents and powers messing with attackers their attack. He might be more usefull in such situations than stronger heroes.
And he wouldnt be too bad against utility monsters either I think.
Problem is that his assasin power is still a bit vague, as it is I'd need a list for what does and doesnt work against him because its quite a grey area.
It's clear that torment doesnt work on him, but what about initiative? It does not change the damage of his attack, but would force him to attack second so I wouldnt know if that counts.

Torment doesn't modify his attack, just his defense. It would however enable him to better deal with heroes that have very strong defensive powers (Achilles, Herakles, Medea's Heal...)
A 1RP unit that can attack for 8 isn't half bad! He might be useful as a deterrent for enemy heroes. I certainly wouldn't want to put my precious heroes anywhere near this maniac unless I really need to.

True, I gues he can't be petrified or such since that would limit both his attack and move.
